SafeBreak® Vascular FDA Cleared for All Vascular Access Lines on Patients Two Weeks of Age and Up

October 3rd, 2023 - Lineus Medical® is proud to announce the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared its flag ship product, SafeBreak® Vascular, for use on all vascular access lines including peripheral IV catheters, midlines, peripherally inserted central catheters, central venous catheters, IV ports, and interosseous vascular access devices on patients two weeks of age and up. This allows SafeBreak Vascular to be installed on both adults and children and on every type of IV line.

Lineus Medical® Obtains Canadian Licence for SafeBreak® Vascular

September 6th, 2023 - Health Canada has issued a licence on Lineus Medical's flag ship product, SafeBreak® Vascular, for use on all vascular access lines including peripheral IV catheters, peripherally inserted central catheters, central venous catheters, midlines, IV ports, and interosseous vascular access devices on patients two weeks of age and up. This licence makes Lineus Medical the first company in the world to obtain authorization for the use of a break-away device on all vascular access lines and for both pediatric and adult patients in a country.

February 8, 2023 - Lineus Medical has been granted Certificates of Registration for both EN ISO 13485:2016 and 13485:2016/MDSAP. These certify that the quality management system of Lineus Medical has been registered as conforming to high caliber, international standards. Canine Study Published In Journal Of The American Veterinary Medical Association

July 20, 2022 - Lineus Medical is proud to announce the publication of the randomized controlled trial performed by Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association. USPTO Grants Lineus Medical Two Additional Patents

August 24, 2022 - The first issued patent was a Japanese Utility Patent (JP7095097) for SafeBreak® Vascular, a break-away medical device that helps protect peripheral IV lines. The second issued patent was a US utility patent for a dual lumen peripheral IV catheter, BVAD (Bifurcated Venous Access Device). Lineus Medical’s patent portfolio has grown to nine issued patents from various countries across the world, with more patents pending.

March 23, 2022 - Lineus Medical announces the publication of a pivotal clinical study performed at Hartford Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare in Hartford, Connecticut, in the March edition of The Journal of Infusion Nursing. The study was a prospective randomized clinical study that evaluated the safety and clinical effectiveness of SafeBreak Vascular, the first FDA cleared Force-Activated Separation Device.

November 13, 2017 - Lineus Medical announces the acquisition of BVAD Tech, the owner of a dual lumen peripheral IV catheter called BVAD. BVAD is designed to provide normal peripheral IV access while minimizing the painful sticks associated with blood draws and blood sugar checks.
